Miami, FL – The prestigious consulting firm, IDC Research, names Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. as the number one printing device company in Colombia. This market share milestone was achieved thanks to its only partner in the Latin American country: Datecsa. The findings are contained in the IDC Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker report from the last four months of 2021.
IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker is a tracking study of the international printing equipment market covering all home, office and production devices, with reference to speed ranges, price bands, configurations, paper formats, product brands, distribution channels and end-user segments.
In its publication for the last four months of 2021, IDC placed KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc. as the leading supplier of printing devices in Colombia within the Color Laser and Mono Laser segment: Color Laser 21-30 ppm, Color Laser 31-44 ppm, Color Laser 45-69 ppm, Mono Laser 31-44 ppm, Mono Laser 45-69 ppm. The company operates there through its sole Authorized Distributor for the country, Datecsa.
Kyocera has figured out how to address our customers’ challenges.”
“By working hand-in-hand with Datecsa, Kyocera has figured out how to address our customers’ challenges, while delivering an optimal platform to accelerate their digital transformation process,” says Rodrigo Almarza, Vice President, KYOCERA Document Solutions America, Inc.
Datecsa has been Kyocera’s Authorized Distributor in Colombia since 2001, and currently has a portfolio of more than 3,500 customers, managed by 600 professionals with a clear sustainability policy. During this time, it has accumulated more than 70,000 devices installed in the Colombian market for the corporate segment and 250 million pages printed per month.
Partly, this data comes from Datecsa’s breakthrough in its operations thanks to the integration of Kyocera Fleet Services (KFS), the secure, cloud-based monitoring software that optimizes device uptime and reduces costs.
“We want to highlight Kyocera’s support and the joint development of a strategy that has allowed us to have the best support infrastructure and service in the corporate sector in Colombia,” says Ernesto de Lima - Datecsa’s Owner and General Manager, with pride.
IDC’s results reinforce a year in which the vendor has taken a giant leap forward by penetrating major market segments such as finance, education, legal, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, production, government and graphic arts.
Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. now holds the maximum responsibility in the Colombian market as a leader in printing solutions that already is at an international level.
